I’m Shelley Janes—a seasoned entrepreneur, sales strategist, and now, your dedicated Entrepreneurial Guide. After more than a decade of building businesses, including being a first sales hire at Y Combinator and Techstars startups, I know what it takes to bring an idea to life and turn it into a thriving venture…

And sometimes it’s bringing an idea to life in the comfort of your bed in front of a laptop without having washed your face for that day.

Here’s the thing: I believe mamas make the best entrepreneurs. Why? Because we’re pros at testing new solutions daily (usually on very picky clients), staying flexible when plans fall apart, and negotiating with the toughest of customers—our children (especially toddlers, amiright?!)

I’ve had the honor of serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence and All Stars Mentor at Techstars, where I mentored startups around the globe, and I’m eager to share that knowledge with other ambitious moms.

My entrepreneurial spirit took me around the world and I was able to start a life in Europe as a nomad because I started a business here. I met my now fiancé in the Netherlands and I have the ability to live in Europe full-time with our children. So I know, first hand, how important flexibility is for supporting a family life.

After taking maternity leave to raise my two children the past two years, I felt the call to help other moms dive into entrepreneurship, whether it's a lifelong dream or a brand-new idea sparked by this season of life.
